2021 · Master's Thesis
An ethnographic inquiry concerning the relationship between humans and nature among German climate activists. For my master's thesis, I spent several months with climate activists, examining how embodied experiences during protests – from tree occupations in the Dannenröder Forest to Extinction Rebellion actions – transform activists' connection to nature. The research explores how activists move beyond Eurocentric philosophies toward indigenous concepts: "We are not defending nature, we are nature, defending itself."

Field research in Cape Coast and Kumasi followed by the exhibition "Artistic Lifeworlds in Ghana". The paintings and artifacts explored themes like memories of slavery, identity, and gender relations. The project also examined the economic conditions of local artists and the tension between their self-interpretation and tourist stereotypes.
