About This Project
I love foraging. But sometimes, those little creatures are hard to find without the right amount of luck.
This dashboard visualizes results from a Machine Learning analysis
to predict porcini mushroom locations across Germany.
Data Sources
- GBIF - Global Biodiversity Information Facility (verified mushroom findings 2003-2024)
- BKG - Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (forest data)
- UBA - German Environment Agency (pollution data)
ML Model
Random Forest Classifier trained on environmental features including soil pH, tree species composition, air quality, and symbiotic fungi presence.
